Continuous Glucose Monitoring System (CGM) involves wearing a sensor on the user’s body to measure glucose levels in the interstitial fluid. Through chemical reactions, the sensor generates an electric current that is converted into blood glucose values. TIR = Time In Range,Time in Range (TIR) is a critical indicator for assessing blood glucose control, representing the percentage of time that blood glucose values remain within the normal range。
Precautions:
1. Calibrate every 24 hours.。
2. Confirm with fingertip test if glucose values and alerts don’t match symptoms.
3. Data may be temporarily unavailable if receiver or phone is out of transmitter’s range or obstructed.
4. Waterproof up to 3.05 meters for 30 hours; use waterproof tape if adhesive lifts.
5. Exclude aircraft and pressurized cabins.
